We are preparing to launch the first serious test run for our adventure. So we need to pack. Not the kind of packing mamma does, where you load the van the night before. This takes a serious strategic approach. We pulled out the uhaul moving boxes to assess our freight issues.

Let’s get a bit of perspective. A Vixen is a motorhome. Bathroom and bed included. 21 feet long. Eight feet wide. So for living space, subtract seven feet for bed from the rear, and 3 feet of hood storage at the front. Next subtract 2 feet of counter width. Now you have 11 feet long and 6 feet wide.
Next, put in His Nibbs (adult male) and Princess Buttercup (italian contessa, takes more space than she should) and Ciba (90 pound black and tan doberman), Baccus (85 pound Boucheron-French cattle herding dog and pack manager), and Robi (115 pound red doberman).
Well, trial runs are to shake out the kinks. So I guess we will find out who gets sent home in the home depot box!

Awesome planning process. I vote for keeping the tail on Bacchus as he is the only one of the three with a long tail and that’s what he uses to lord over Robi and Ciba. Are you sure Roxi can’t fit in too? CC

Brilliant Barb. Love your humor? So glad I will be living part of this with you.

What a fun idea, love to read more of how the adventure progresses.
Packing the Vixen & make it work will be the first miracle, especially with 290 pounds of energetic dog meat!
Knowing you, you’ll make it work
